Mom Might Not Really Be Crazy!

Hi Everyone,

Well mom has been telling me about fall and how it will cool off. I'm beginning to think that she might be right about this. Yesterday we got to play in the yard across the street from our motel. The leaves are falling and it really is cooling off and mom brought my ball along that was fun! It rained yesterday and is supposed to be pretty nice today but rain again tonight and maybe tomorrow. Mom said we can play again today! Dad has been playing with me. If I'm lying down and being a good boy he has to mess with me and we will play. I've really perfected my sit up, shake a paw and wave bye bye tricks! Mom is working on tossing me a treat and I catch it with my mouth and we have to work on that one but hey I still get the treat drop it or catch it! I will get more treats if I keep missing and not catching every one! I am a smart little doggie:) Hope it's a nice fall day wherever you are! Go out there and put your best paw forward! Mr. H:) PS I think I really like fall and mom is telling me that it was winter when I was born and I really loved playing in the snow. We'll see about that when it comes.

It's getting pretty boring but there isn't anything we can do about it! At least we have a really nice room and all the people here think I'm pretty cute and smart! Dog life is pretty good actually. I'm moms boy and dads buddy. We get to play and mom makes sure that I get to go outside and it's cooler than it was last Friday. Dad even took a few pics of me and mom that made mom really happy! I'm 10 Months Old Today!

Mom only has a few minutes this morning and she said I will be riding with her today! So hopefully later she will have some cute pics of me. She will try to get them posted today! It's HOT here in Charleston, WV and mom tells me that it is the first day of fall and it really will be cooling off soon! I got to ride with mom today. And I pretty much just kick back and mom can take care of the driving! It was hot again today so I'm really starting to question mom when she tells me that it will be lots cooler soon! And everyone has to check out gma Mary's website and see another littler of puppies! Gma Mary is going to be really busy and is really grateful for Nanny Janice's help! And there is one more littler to come very soon! Hi Everyone,

Well it was 90 degrees here today and mom and I got to go to Mc Donalds for ice cream! Mom had a hot fudge sundae and I got a plain one. Mom puts the cup in the cup holder and it works very well for me to lick most of it out! Then mom got some pics of me playing with the cup and her spoon. I do love to chew. But I'm a good puppy and it's very seldom that I chew on anything that I'm not supposed to! Here mom thought it was going to be chilly and we about roasted today it was like when we were out in Colorado! Last night on the way down here it rained a little bit but it got warmer as we came west. Mom keeps telling me that one of these days it will be cold. I guess I'll see she's not right yet! Hi Everyone,

Gma Mary just sent mom and e-mail and it's Gpa Philip's birthday! Happy Birthday to You Happy Birthday to you Happy Birthday dear gpa Happy Birthday to you!!!! I want to send some flowers to gpa Philip as he is home and recovering! Mom's clamadus was starting to bloom when we got home and yesterday mom went to the Farmers Market on the square with Seppi's mom Ursula and she bought another clamadus this one is purple. She really likes them. Yesterday I got to go to Seppi's house and we played ball for a little while. I'm too short to be faster than he is but we had fun anyway. Mom has everything just about ready for us to go so she has a few minutes to post some pictures for me. It's kinda rainy here today but I got to get in the shower with mom and I got a bath anyway. Boy was I ever running around after I got all wet! Dad played with me and now I'm taking a little rest and recharging my puppy batteries! It's a lot cooler outside and I'm really liking that. Mom told me that I loved the snow when she brought me home for the first time. Right now dog life is pretty good. I've had mom trained for a long time and daddy's training is coming along really well now too! I love my mom and dad and I know how much they love me! Have you checked out The Firedogs and Abby they are getting to paint too! Mom is really happy that she got her paint project finished. She tells me that her timing was really good and now next summer we can just enjoy our deck and timber. Dad really loves to mow and it makes mom smile when he's out there flying around the yard. He got the yard mowed before we got more rain and it really looks nice around home! Mom got my room downstairs all fixed up and she has lots of pictures of me I like it a lot. Now when mom and dad have to go somewhere and they can't take me I get to stay in my room instead of my crate. I have my food and water down there, the tv has a really nice radio in it so I have music and if I would have an accident (I haven't) it would be ok and it makes mom and dad feel better than leaving me in my crate. Mom will have pictures of that next time we get home. I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday. Keep gpa Philip and gma Mary in your prayers! Oh I almost forgot Sunny had her puppies! There are 5 boys and 2 little girls so gma Mary has more work to do and we all know that she is the best! Check out gma's blog for pictures. We Get to Visit!

Mom and dad told me last night that if everything goes right that we (mom & I) get to visit gma Mary and gpa Philip and mom wants to help any way she can! Mom sent gma an e-mail telling her that it will work out for us to come and visit after we get empty in Washington DC. Mom is really excited to see the new puppies. Dad has a load after we get empty that he won't need mom. I will update this better later. Mom has some cute pics to post but has to get busy here right now! Put your best paw forward! Mr. H:)

Hi Everyone

We are very concerned about gpa Philip! Mom got a brief e-mail from gma Mary saying that they are at the hospital and gpa Philip had a heart attack yesterday! Please keep both gpa and gma in your prayers!! Mom had tried calling gma today just to chat and tell her how big I am getting and seem to still be growing! Mom is going to post some pictures that she took of me today and if gma gets to see them soon I hope they make her smile! It's a very hard time for gma as puppies are due any day and now this. Mom wants them to know that our prayers go out to gpa Philip, gma Mary and all the SBG Mob! We are all lucky to be a part of that very special family and hope that gpa has a speedy recovery and gma you better get some rest and take care of yourself too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or I will bring my big paws to PA and swat your behind!!!! Love Mr. H:(

It's HOT In Colorado!!!!!`

Sunrise this morning in Oakley, KS

Hi Everyone,
It was a beautiful sunrise in Oakley, KS this morning and now we are in Pueblo, CO and it's 90 degrees here! It's not like fall at all! Glad I got that haircut before we left home!!~~ Today is mom's birthday and I've been trying to be a really good boy! Dad has been very nice and we will get a motel room tonight! I always like going to the motel! Mom says that we will be where we are supposed to deliver but they won't unload us till Wed. so tomorrow will be a really easy day! Mom got a text from her friend Eileen this morning and she told mom happy birthday and that she reads my blog and really enjoys it. It makes her laugh really hard sometimes. I want to say HI to Eileen! Mom says we will get together one of these days. She should try being the little doggie in all this craziness sometimes! But I do love my mom and dad. Last night I was licking dad's ear, it needed it really really bad. It made dad laugh to have me lick his ear so much. And sometimes I pull his hair and that is really funny because he doesn't have very much hair so mom thinks that's quite a feat for me! Dad really likes it when I snuggle up to him and I really like it when we play! Mom is promising me that it will be cooling off one of these days very soon! Well we'll see what we get to do tomorrow. Remembering 911!

This cafe is right across the street from where the World Trade Towers stood. And after 9/11 it became a care center.


I got to talk with the owner of the cafe and he got out this book and showed me a page and told me about a friend that tried to get a helicopter close enough to save people but it was too hot.


The pictures on the walls are all moving!

This is the owner John Costalas and he is standing next to a picture that he can tell you every name and how many people they saved and then didn't make it out themselves.

I can't imagine being there and these streets are so narrow you are too close!

This is another part of the beautiful mural down the wall of Fire Station Number 10!

This gives you and idea just how narrow the streets are and how close the cafe and fire station were to the towers. This is right across the street from where the towers stood. It's one thing to see it on tv but that is nothing like standing in that spot and talking to the people who were really touched and lost friends and family and then had to live with the cleanup. When I asked John how long his cafe was close he told me 2 1/2 years. He told me that was a good question. I asked him what people usually asked me and about fell over when he said "who did it?" He was lucky and hasn't had some of the health problems that so many have. It was really moving talking to him and he took the time to share with me the pictures and he said that his cafe had been better before. The food was wonderful and I couldnt' believe the prices so reasonable. If you ever get a chance to go to Ground Zero do it and REMEMBER!!!

A year ago today mom and dad were in New York City and mom got to ride the subway down to Ground Zero. She wrote a story in the magazine she writes for about it. It's pretty long and has some really cool pictures with it. She was going to try to print it here but couldn't copy it from the magazine. It was her Oct. 2009 story. Actually everything she has written is there. When she was there last year it was the first time she had been there since the towers fell. It will always be a very sad anniversary in our countrys history! But she was fortunate enough to be able to talk to a few of the people that live there and were there the day it happened. Mom found New York City to be totally different from what she thought it would be. Especially the people. When mom asked a florist what she thought had changed there since 911 mom thought the woman summed it up perfectly. "People here used to take everything for granted and now they don't anymore". Mom is going to post a few pictures she took on that trip here in case you don't want to go to the website. Mom told me about all the trucks that flew flags from their mirrors after that happened and she had a friend take a picture of a flag hanging on the George Washington bridge coming out of NYC. To bad as time went on people stopped. Our flag flies at home everyday! Mom says you should do something nice every day because you never know what might happen!
